The Department of Education requires all schools to give certain consumer information to all students and prospective students. A list of the required information and where it can be found in the school catalog is found below. A copy of the complete catalog is available for download here.
On October 29, 2010 the United States Department of Eduction required that by July 1, 2011 any institution that provided programs that lead to "gainful employment" must provide to prospective students the following information:
1. The US Department of Labors Standard Occupational Classification code for the "gainful employment" programs offered. ICA offers only a cosmetology program SOC code# 395012. A link to the Dept. of Labor's O*NET web site is provided under "important links.
2. On Time Graduation Rates for students enrolled during the most recent award year: 28 of 39 or 72% of students who were scheduled to graduate between 7-1-2009 and 6-30-2010 graduated "on time". This is defined as maintaining at least 85% attendance throughout the program. 11 other students graduated beyond this time frame.
3. Tuition, fees, and institutional charges: These charges are published in the catalog than is accesible on the site. Cosmetology Tuition & Fees $13,015.00. Manicuring Tuition & Fees $2,115.00.
4. Cost for Cosmetology Books & Equipment: $1,985.00. Cost for Manicure Books & Equipment: $885.00.
5. Job placement rates for completing the program: This information is also found inthe school catalog. From our last accrediting commission report of November 2010, 34 of 38 graduates (89%) from calendar year 2009 were placed immediately upon graduation. Four other graduates were not eligible for placement as they had not completed their State Board testing.
6. Median Loan Debt: The median Title IV loan debt for students enrolled in school during the 09/10 award year (July 1,2009 – June 30, 2010 was $8,104.00. The median loan debt for the four students who recieved other loans was $5,624.00. Manicure Median Loan Debt $4,223.00.
